What do ChatGPT and Grok say?

    ChatGPT/Openai

Which manufacturer and driver will win the 2025 Formula One world championships?

    ChatGPT said:

As of February 26, 2025, the Formula One season has yet to begin, with the first race scheduled for March 16 in Australia. Pre-season testing is currently underway in Bahrain, providing initial insights into team performances.

In the initial testing sessions, McLaren's Lando Norris posted the fastest time, despite a power outage disrupting the session. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and Mercedes' rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli also showcased strong performances.
    REUTERS.COM

Bookmakers have identified Lando Norris as the favorite for the 2025 Drivers' Championship, with McLaren leading the odds for the Constructors' Championship.
    COVERS.COM

Lewis Hamilton's move to Ferrari has generated significant attention. Hamilton has expressed confidence in Ferrari's potential to secure the championship, aiming for a record-breaking eighth title.
    REUTERS.COM

Red Bull Racing, with Max Verstappen, the reigning four-time World Drivers' Champion, remains a formidable contender. Despite internal changes and the addition of new driver Liam Lawson, the team is determined to reclaim the Constructors' Championship.
    FORMULA1.COM

Given the competitive landscape, it's challenging to predict the definitive winners of the 2025 Formula One World Championships. The performances during the upcoming races will provide clearer indications of which teams and drivers are poised for success.

    Grok

Which manufacturer and driver will win the 2025 Formula One world championships?

    Grok said:

As of now, it’s impossible to say with certainty who will win the 2025 Formula One World Championships since the season is just getting underway. The driver’s and constructor’s titles will be determined by performance across the 24 races, starting with the Australian Grand Prix on March 16 and ending with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on December 7. Predictions are floating around based on last year’s results and current team dynamics, but they’re speculative at best.
Max Verstappen, driving for Red Bull Racing-Honda RBPT, is the reigning Drivers’ Champion, having secured his fourth consecutive title in 2024. McLaren-Mercedes, the 2024 Constructors’ Champions, are coming off a strong season, their first title since 1998. Both are strong contenders again, but the field is tight. Ferrari’s pairing of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton—who’s joining after 12 years with Mercedes—could shake things up, especially with Hamilton’s experience and Ferrari’s recent form. McLaren’s Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are also in the mix, buoyed by their team’s momentum. Mercedes, with George Russell and rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli, might surprise if their car improves, while Red Bull’s new lineup of Verstappen and Liam Lawson will aim to reclaim the constructors’ crown.
The 2025 season is the last under the current power unit rules, and teams have had the winter to refine their cars. Testing in Bahrain starts soon, which might give a hint, but even then, it’s a long season—anything can happen. What do you think—got a favorite you’re rooting for?

    Oops!

    I missed this completely :-(

Just for the records, I think this is the McLaren year, and Norris will
    win the championship

My prediction was made on the theory that Norris and Piastri would take
points away from each other on the way to a solid McLaren WCC, letting
George sneak away with the WDC. But if Lando doesn't pull himself
together it could be Oscar in a walk.

I am 100% bought into the dream!

    *sigh*

I gotta tell ya, it's turning out to be really difficult being a Ferrari fan...

I mean, it's not just because their car isn't great at the moment, that's
just the way it goes and is a shame but they'll either work through it and start to find performance to challenge for podiums and wins or they won't,
and next year under the new regs can be a fresh start.

No, what I can't accept is their general strategy craft, or lack
thereof... They've been like it for years, of course, making questionable/dumb-as-bricks strategy calls and shooting themselves in the
foot on the regular, but now I'm actually following Ferrari it's starting
    to boil my piss!

Starting 11th and 12th today, fingers crossed they manage to go forward
instead of backwards, but I'm not holding my breath...

Well, that was a great result for Ferrari in the end! Good race, too, thoroughly enjoyed that.
