    Hi readers and typers,

A Norwegian pal and fan sent me this and though it is about manga it will affect anime as well so that group gets it.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PR_-Ht-9-E

    9 minute video!

Humans still ahve to intervene but it speeds up
    translation quite a lot..

The title initially made me think it was much worse, but using machine translation to aid human translators is one of the good uses of AI (as
long as it sticks to *aiding* the translators and not replacing them!)

Companies will certainly experiment with reducing the human element as
    much as possible...

at times i detect something off with the subtitles, my
understanding of japanese is passable enough that i can tell its
    not quite right.

which makes me think it may have been done by an AI?
