So is it a BBS game, or a standalone?
("Modern" could mean so many things) ;)

It's a separate game (not related to BBS-era). I've got the free to play
Demo version which restricts a few features (like no online gameplay,
can't built more devestating weapons and such).

It's on Steam, I think Windows only (can't remember, easy enought to
check).
