• NES & SNES puzzle games

    I've been playing a few puzzle games in Nesticle and zsnes on FreeDOS.

    * Egypt (NES)
    Calm puzzle a little like Sokoban. I like it!

    * Chips Challenge (SNES)
    Collect chips, keys, and tools while avoiding monsters and traps.
    Has elements of Sokoban and also action/arcade gaming.
    Apparently Chips Challenge has been ported to many platforms.

    * Keeper (SNES)
    Similar to Egypt, but some levels have time limits

    Wasn't chips challenge also part of the microsoft entertainment pack?

    BTW your subject line seemed to have a lot of spaces in it? (or maybe
    tabs?)

    Another fun one that sort of has a Mario 3 look/feel while remaining a puzzle game is Fire 'n Ice for NES.

    Yes, Wikipedia says:

    BBS and early Internet forums dedicated to the Microsoft version allowed users to share home-made level editors and unofficial expansion packs, which was an early example of software modding.

    Yes, i was using a different terminal emulator that didn't work well with my BBS. All better now.

    Thanks for the recommendation!

    I was not aware of this game. Looks promising!
