  • "CNET BBS" Echo Return Request

    ECHO: C-Net BBS Software

    I would like to request the return of the C-NET BBS Software Echo back to FidoNet. The software for this Commodore BBS is still in development for the Amiga, C64 and C128. This Echo once thrived on FidoNet and I feel it can again. C-Net is the oldest BBS Software still in use and still in development today.

    I was doing some research, the was removed a long tme ago. I still think it can be re-added...

    this echo is for advertising echos... requests for backbone carriage are generally made elsewhere...

    the main questions are:

    do you have the area created?
    does it have traffic?
    is it linked to other systems?

    since we don't yet have a fully working echolist, that part may be skipped but backbone systems can add areas if they like with whatever criteria they desire... if you have the area created and active, i'm willing, as a backbone star, to link it here... we would need to handle setting up a session between our systems, though... you can netmail me for further if you like...

    Okay then...

    New/old echo re-added to FidoNet. The C-Net BBS Support echo on FidoNet is now
    re-activated. I am not sure how many years it has been removed, but it is BACK!

    Ask your FidoNet HUB to add CNET_BBS to the available echos on FidoNet today! If your HUB is 1:322.0/0 then you are already set! You just have to add CNET_BBS to your system.

    ArakNet, FidoNet and RetroNet all have Networked C-Net support echos now!
