I installed the game Meldon today and went in search of the a way to get it >registered. The guy who wrote it, Jim Webb, lived in Canada. The latest >version I could find was 1.4. As I continued my search I found several other >files from Lounge Software had been released as free. But not Meldon. On one >of the local BBS's I found version 1.5, the registration information was for a >guy in New Zealand, Glenn Sutton from BCSoftware. Finally, to add spice to
he
search, Sunrise Door Software has it as a WINServer game.
I had a couple of users who used to play Meldon and I wanted to register it. When Al from Sunrise had one of his registration specials, I registered all of the DOS games he had. Al took over the Lounge doors when Jim stopped developing them, but apparently Al retired the DOS version of Meldon so I didn't get a key for that one.
The game does have
nice graphics, but it seems to be a LORD clone so far.
The game is similar to LORD in that it is an RPG that seems to mimic a
similar point in time (when warriors had swords but not guns), but the
gameplay is different. The gameplay is more like Quest for Nora or Legends of Ole.
Anyone know where a
complete release of Lounge Softare keys can be found?
I am also curious.
